Biography

Bonnie Somerville is an America actress born in Brooklyn, New York on February 24th 1974. She is probably best known for her roles in various different popular TV series including the OC and NYPD Blue.

She was raised in her birthplace of Flatbush, Brooklyn by her Mother and their very large Catholic family. She spent most of her spare time entertaining family and friends with her acting and singing and this eventually prompted her to attend Boston College as a musical Theatre major. She soon decided that if she wanted to make it professionally she would have to move back to New York and pursue her dream there.

When she was just 17 years old Bonnie got her own development deal to sing her music, she travelled around New York singing with various different bands and was eventually spotted by a modelling scout whilst she was waiting tables. She took on some brief modelling work in both New York and Europe and at the age of 22 she moved to Los Angeles where she gained herself an acting agent and got her first audition for a role in a CBS mini series called ‘Shake Rattle and Roll’

She sang backup on the American singer Joshua Radin’s first record and has appeared in the first series of the popular TV show ‘The OC’ in which she played the part of a work colleague of Sandy Cohen. She has also had a guest role in ‘Friends’.

Bonnie has been linked to various different men including actor and director Zach Braff who she briefly dated whilst he was working on his movie Garden State. She now lives in Los Angeles.
