CBS Picks Up “Golden Boy” To Series

Its being reported by EW.com that “Golden Boy”, co-starring Bonnie Somerville, has been picked up CBS to series!

Next up is Made in New Jersey (formerly Baby Big Shot) and Golden Boy. The former is about a working-class woman (Janet Montgomery) who uses her street smarts to compete with her more polished colleagues at a Manhattan law firm. Kyle MacLachlan, Pablo Schreiber co-star. Golden Boy tracks one cop’s (Theo James) meteoric rise from officer to detective to police commissioner. Co stars Chi McBride, Kevin Alejandro, Bonnie Somerville.

Bonnie Somerville To Co-Star In Pilot “Golden Boy”

Bonnie Somerville is set for the female lead opposite Theo James in CBS’ drama pilot Golden Boy, from Nick Wootton and Greg Berlanti.

The project, produced by Warner Bros TV and Berlanti Prods. and directed by Richard Shepard, centers on cop Walter Clark (James) and chronicles his meteoric rise from officer to detective and ultimately police commissioner. Somerville, repped by UTA and McKeon Myones Entertainment, will play Detective Deborah McKenzie, a Long Island native and third-generation cop who is the only female detective on the homicide squad.

‘The Mentalist’ Taps Diane Farr, Bonnie Somerville, James Frain For February Sweeps

Diane Farr can check another CBS procedural off her to-do list.

The Numb3rs vet, who guest starred on CSI: Miami in October, will appear in an upcoming Season 4 episode of The Mentalist, TVLine has learned exclusively.

Farr will play Amy Barron, a Type-A, business-minded owner of a small winery in North California. Joining the actress in the outing are Bonnie Somerville (Cashmere Mafia, NYPD Blue) as Amy’s friend/business partner, who is accused of murder, and Kathryn Joosten (Desperate Housewives) as the murder victim’s neighbor.

True Blood‘s James Frain rounds out the crowded guest cast.

The episode is slated to air during February sweeps.
